I like shattered retreat, but I tend to turn off defensive pacts since they don't really stop you , and if you keep attacking small, shattered nations like in russia, there's nothing anyone can really do to stop you, and once you're just big enough or taken down enough of the blobs, even the remaining world united can't stop you. Hey everyone i've been playing a game of crusader kings 2 and it's gotten to the point where in game it's become a chore. I played a ton of Eu4 before CK and in that game you have to deal with Aggressive Expansion and Coalitions, which is harsher imo.
